What is a Food share?
Food shares are local gatherings where people share excess homegrown produce and gardening extras. Items may include fruit, vegetables, herbs, eggs, seeds, seedlings, gardening tips and worm juice, but may easily extend to skill shares, stories and seasonal recipes 🌱
Where: Deakin Community Garden (on Burwood campus behind building R) *If it's raining meet undercover near FooMoo's Restaurant* Cost: Free |
working bees
Working bees are usually a mixture of watering, weeding and harvesting. We have a limited number of gloves and trowels so please feel free to bring your own.
You can come for the entirety of the working bee or just for 10 minutes, it is entirely up to you. You can also bring your own bag just in case we have some garden goodies to give away |
